Corporate Social Responsibility

We value the well-being of people, the environment and society. Therefore, we take account of the effects of our operations on these factors and opt for Corporate Social Responsibility.

Social workplace integration

For over 45 years, for instance, we have been working with organisations that help people with a labour market disadvantage in their development. Since 2012, staff in social employment have been working alongside us in the assembly department as committed, agreeable colleagues who are passionate about the business. This collaboration makes us a textbook example of an inclusive business.

CO2 footprint

Our plastic product development processes take into account limiting the use of materials and the impact on the carbon footprint. We also reuse our materials as much as possible and use recyclates in a variety of projects. In parallel, we have set up recycling schemes for customers. We take the plastic injection-moulded parts back from the market and separate them for grinding in our own moulding shop.

Use of recyclates and biopolymers

Biopolymers will also be used alongside recyclates. As biopolymers are still in the development phase in terms of applications, we provide our own moulds to accelerate these processes. Together with raw material suppliers, we are exploring how best to incorporate this sustainable solution in plastic injection moulded products.

Zero waste

One of our key performance indicators is wastage. To this end, we have started an internal project under the slogan “Don’t waste it”, to reduce waste in our production. By investing in a manufacturing execution system, we are able to carry out and ensure this reduction in a controlled way.

Reducing energy consumption

To reduce energy consumption, we have upgraded our specifications and working methods. All our investments and actions focus on this issue. For example, all our new machines are more energy-efficient and we disconnect the machinery when not in production. In addition, we have installed some 500 solar panels at our plant.

Environment

We express our social function in the surrounding area through local sponsorship of club life, involvement in festivities and organising company visits. For training courses in the area, our goal is to be a learning organisation available for internships and apprenticeships.
